11/4/26 - Buzzkill with support from House 51, Tantra, and Idle Minds live @McQs, Dunfermline
Dunfermline's underground is about to get loud. In an intimate, sweat-dripping venue setting, this showcase brings together some of the most exciting young alt bands in the region, headlined by riot grrrl firestarters Buzzkill. Expect raw energy, zero polish, and the kind of atmosphere where the crowd is pressed against the stage and every lyric hits twice as hard. With support from House 51, Tantra, and Idle Minds, this is a night built for loud guitars, raised voices, and the next wave of Fife’s alternative scene. Get in early — our last event sold out!

7/2/26 - The Guillotines with support from The Dirty Cooks, Karnyx and The Young Cats @McQ's, Dunfermline
Glasgow's own The Guillotines headline with their riotous fusion of punk, ska and Oi! - brass-fuelled chaos, snarling riffs and big singalong choruses built for the pit.
Support comes from:
-
The Dirty Cooks - garage punk. Fast punch in the gut songs.
-
Karnyx - heavy, hard-hitting riffs and pounding rhythms that shake the room.
-
The Young Cats - raw, youthful punk energy with a feral edge.

Four bands. One unmissable night. Punk, Oi! and chaos guaranteed.

30/1/26 - Genevieve with special guest Heff Vansaint and DJ set from Birrell or Biscuit @Islington Arts Club, London
Whanga Records first London show at Islington Arts Club!
Join us for an unforgettable night of intimate, emotive pop-electronica as Genevieve celebrates the launch of her highly anticipated new EP, Blue Moon!
This marks her most vulnerable and powerful body of work to date — a stunning collection written over several years, blending 80s-inspired synth-pop with lush, atmospheric electronics that will transport you straight into the feels.
What people are saying about Genevieve’s sound:
“Japan grabbed me by the throat in the car… Sadly I don’t have windscreen wipers also on my eyes!!… ‘Cos I welled with tears!”
— James Sanger, Vibey.Music
“A gorgeous mix of 80’s inspired pop & atmospheric electronics”
— Alan Dreezer, Fresh On The Net
Don’t miss this special evening at the iconic Islington Arts Club, a beloved London venue known for its cozy, vibey atmosphere — pink dance floor, killer sound system, and that unbeatable late-night license!
Supporting the night is the talented Scottish alternative indie artist Heff Vansaint — fresh off releases like her haunting EP Best Days Gone and singles exploring heartbreak and reflection. Expect soulful, introspective indie vibes to set the perfect tone for the headline set.
And to keep the party rolling…
After the live performances, dive straight into a high-energy DJ set by Birrell or Biscuit — the resident hosts of the club’s legendary Thursday open mics (via Whanga Records). Bringing their signature eclectic grooves, crowd-pleasing selections, and unstoppable energy, they’ll spin until 4am for the ultimate afterparty finish!
